2024 Toyota Corolla SE Premium Package

Good: At an additional $2,440, or around 11% more than the base Corolla LE model, the SE easily justifies the price increase. It turns our least favorite part of the standard Corolla—the front bumper—into something more cohesive and dynamic.

Bad: Sadly, the Corolla's unsightly plastic unibrow, prominently displayed on every sedans' rear end, remains unchanged. The SE model's only visual upgrades in this area are the addition of a small spoiler and a revised diffuser that shows off new chrome exhaust tips where the standard exhaust was previously hidden. While the exhaust is real, it simply isn't enough to change our minds about everything else we see on this side of the vehicle.

Inside: Even with surprisingly comfortable cloth seats mixed with more tech than expected at this price point, the interior still feels outdated. It's obvious that Toyota put the majority of their development time and money into upgrading the technology in the car over the years instead of refreshing the overall look of the interior. Whether or not that was the right idea is something only you can decide, dear reader, but it does impress us that with such an old looking interior, we were still unable to think of any other driving technology that we felt the car was missing.

P.S. Special thank you to AAA and Enterprise for providing us with the vehicle you see in the pictures above.

P.P.S. Turn off PDA in the vehicle settings found within the Instrument cluster, especially if you are having issues with the vehicle coming to a stop earlier than expected while coasting.
