Ca$hTrak Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
Ca$hTrak was built around a simple idea: your purchase history is your business. The app is designed so that your financial data never leaves your device unless you deliberately move it yourself. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with data.
The short version
Everything you enter in Ca$hTrak — purchases, prices, dates, tags, settings — is stored only on your device.
We operate no servers, require no account, and run no analytics.
Voice input is processed entirely on your device by Apple's speech recognition and Apple Intelligence. Audio and transcripts are never sent to us or anyone else.
The free version shows a single banner ad served by Google in non-personalized mode. The app does not track you, does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA), and never shares your purchase data with anyone — including Google.
Data stored on your device
Ca$hTrak saves the following information in the app's private storage on your device:
Purchases you enter (date, name, price, paid status, and tags)
Your settings (such as the optional bank account label and feature toggles)
Whether you have completed the tutorial
This data is included in your device backups according to your iOS backup settings (iCloud or local). It is never transmitted to us. We have no ability to see, access, or recover it.
What Ca$hTrak does not do
No user accounts or sign-in
No cloud sync or remote storage operated by us
No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
No access to your contacts, photos, location, or files beyond what you explicitly select
No sale, sharing, or transfer of your personal information to third parties for advertising or any other purpose
Voice input
If you use voice input, Ca$hTrak requests microphone and speech recognition permission. Recognition runs on-device only — the app explicitly requires Apple's on-device speech mode and does not use server-based dictation. On devices that support Apple Intelligence, the conversion of your spoken words into draft purchases also runs entirely on-device. Audio is processed in the moment and is not stored; transcripts exist only temporarily while drafts are being created.
Transferring your data between devices
Ca$hTrak includes an optional Transfer User Data feature so you can move your information to a new device. Two methods are available, and both keep your data under your control:
File transfer: the app writes a transfer file that you save and manage yourself. Protecting and deleting that file is in your hands once it leaves the app.
QR code / nearby transfer: the camera is used only to scan a Ca$hTrak pairing code, and the data moves directly between your two devices over an encrypted local connection (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi). The QR code contains only a pairing code, never your data, and nothing passes through any server.
Camera and local network permissions are requested only for this feature and are used for nothing else.
Advertising
To keep Ca$hTrak free, the app shows one banner ad, served by Google AdMob in non-personalized mode:
The app never requests App Tracking Transparency permission and never accesses the IDFA.
Ads are selected from contextual information only, not from a profile of you.
Your purchase data is never made available to Google or any advertiser.
To deliver and measure these ads, Google's SDK processes some technical data on its own behalf, such as your IP address (which implies coarse, city-level location), basic device information, ad interaction events (views and clicks), and diagnostic data. This processing is described in and . For users in US states with privacy laws, ads are served under Google's restricted data processing, which limits Google to acting as a service provider for ad delivery.
Purchasing Remove Ad Area removes the banner, after which the app makes no advertising requests at all.
In-app purchases
Remove Ad Area and the optional tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Purchase entitlements are verified on your device through Apple's StoreKit. Apple's handling of your payment information is governed by .
Deleting your data
Your data is yours to destroy as easily as it is yours to keep:
Reset All User Data in Settings permanently erases all purchases and settings on the device.
Deleting the app removes all app data from your device.
Any transfer files you exported are under your control and should be deleted wherever you saved them.
Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our end — and nothing for anyone to request.
Children's privacy
Ca$hTrak is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included — the app's design makes that structurally impossible on our side.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Ca$hTrak changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before that version is released. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
